A Birthday card for my Sweetheart

This is the birthday card I made for my Sweetheart.....not my husband, by my 10 year old daughter with Sweetheart paper.

I got out the first every "E" sized stamp CTMH ever created, Promise of Spring, and stamped the flower and leaves. The flower in Cotton Candy on patterned paper and the leaves in Blush, on Baby Pink cardstock. The "th" was stamped in Black with my Friendship Alphabet.

I used my poker tool to curve the edges of the flower after I cut it out. The leaves I simply folded and used my stylus to emboss for the veins.

The numbers were stamped with my favourite E-sized alphabet, Rustic Alphabet. I stamped them in Tulip on Colonial White cardstock, then edged them with Glitz glitter glue. I also added Glitz to the dots on the flower and the dots on the striped patterned paper. The sentiment is stamped from A Little Everything...another one of my favourites.

All products are Close To My Heart.
Stamps: A Little Everything; Rustic Alphabet; Promise of Spring; Friendship Alphabet
Paper: Sweetheart
Cardstock: Black; Hollyhock; Colonial White; Baby Pink

Mojo Monday

I have finally been able to put a card together for a Mojo Monday challenge.

I started with our Feb Stamp of The Month: Friendship and created a background with Cotton Candy ink on Cotton Candy cardstock. I added some patterned paper from Sweetheart to both my scallop border and behind the main feature element.

I mixed up some Blush reinker, Pearl Paint and water in our fabulous new Spray Pen. I took the border stamp from the Dreams Come True set and placed it image side down on the circle cut with my Nestabilities. I also covered the outer embossed edge of the circle with the die. Then I sprizted on colour to create a shimmery background where no stamping would be. Once dry, I stamped the blank area with the border stamp in Black.

I stamped the Butterfly from Sweetheart's workshop on the go kit in Cotton Candy. The small heart was stamped in Blush. I added our great new pink assortment buttons and some Hollyhock twill ribbon. I also added black brads and then put a drop of Glitz on top.

Here is the Mojo Monday sketch.

Just Us Girls meets Bella Friday

I created this card for both "Just Us Girls" challenge and Bella Friday.

I used the stamp: Call of the Wild from Stamping Bella and colours from the "Just Us Girls" challenge of Kraft; Aqua; and Melon. My CTMH colours were Kraft; Sorbet and Lagoon. I coloured this sweet image in with my Copic markers.

I stamped with the flourish image from CTMH Dream in black on the Kraft cardstock and edged with Lagoon. The patterned paper is from Hooligans and I stamped in Sorbet with the flourish image on the Sorbet cardstock. I added one of our new Kraft borders; Lagoon and Sorbet buttons & brads; and a few Prima flowers.

The octagon shape was cut with a Nestabilitie shape and the corners were removed from the Lagoon patterned paper with my Fiskars Admit One punch.

A 'Just Us Girls" challenge

I love the colours for the challenge over at "Just Us Girls", so I went with it. The colours were Kraft; Melon and Aqua. I used our new Kraft cardstock, along with Lagoon and Sorbet.

I stamped the Sorbet cardstock with an image from Intrinsic Backgrounds. The bird and sentiment are from Blessed, which is April's stamp of the month. The border stamped on our new Kraft border is from Eclectic Edges.

I love buttons and had both of our new ones in Lagoon and Sorbet colours. I added one Prima flower just to add something to the buttons.

Check back later today for my 2nd post with my Mojo Monday challenge card.

Humble ARtist's Swap

I'm cheating a bit and posting this with the plan on posting to our CTMH sisters chat board, later today. We have a rule....that I made....that as members, we not post our artwork on our blogs until I have posted all entries on that board. Fingers crossed, I'll get it done today and not be in the dog house with other members!

So our guidelines for our Dec 10 swap went something like this (switching to a new computer obliterated the guidelines!):
-Use a themed stamp for a different theme (I used a Christmas bulb stamp for a birthday)
-At lest 7 layers stacked up in one place
-Use ribbon and 2 additional embellishments
-Must use glitter
I'm sure there could be more....but that seems to cover my card.

I stamped with a glue pad and added Prisma glitter. I also dipped my Colonial White brads in Liquid Glass, then into Prisma Glitter. I used Sweet Leaf; Pacifica; and Crystal Blue cardstock and inks.

All supplies are Close To My Heart.
Paper: Magnifique
Stamps: Adorn-able; Jingle Borders
Cardstock: Sweet Leaf; Pacifica; Crystal Blue; Colonial White
Ink: Sweet Leaf; Pacifica; Crystal Blue
Embellishments: Prisma Glitter; Bitty Sparkles; Colonial White grosgrain ribbon and brads.
