Simple Memories Finale

Okay, this my last Simple Memories card for a while now. I've moved on to using some other new stamps sets from the Spring Close To My Heart Idea Book.

This beauty sees Sorbet; Grey Wool; and Sunset ink stamping the lace shapes. The cardstock colours are Sunset; White Daisy and Grey Flannel. I added some Black striped grosgrain that came in a Black embellishment package. I also used our super fabulous corner/scallop maker punch for the border.

Here is the second card, using Simple Memories, that was inspired by a card on Pinterest.

This card got inked with Sorbet; Grey Wool; and Sunset. The banner with the sentiment, is the backside of some Black textured cardstock I had in my stash. I added Sunset brads; a Sunset mat; and some Stardust Glitz to the centre ring of each image.

Visit again tomorrow, for I will have yet another creation with Simple Memories.

Simple Memories and Pinterest

Well, the worst has happened....Pinterest has crept into my creating space.....oh my....what will I do?!This is the first, but certainly not the last! If you're on Pinterest, you saw the card. It was stamped with some other stamp company's images....but alas, have no fear, I have used Close To My Heart images exclusively!

This set is Simple Memories and really is just that. It reminds me of the doilies my Mother learned to tat from my Grandmother. I stamped with Petal; Grey Wool and Sky inks. The mat is Petal and the sentiment is on Grey Flannel cardstock. I finished the card off with Sparkles.

Tune in tomorrow to see how I progressed with this design and stamp set.

Beautiful Friendship

I was inspired by a card on Tresa Black's website and created a similiar one using "Beautiful Friendship". From that card, which I will post soon, this card was created.

I started with Diverse Backgrounds and stamped in Desert Sand ink on Desert Sand cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Cocoa ink on Bamboo cardstock.

The stamped shapes, on White Daisy cardstock, are from the one large image in Beautiful Friendship. I cut the shape, that fit perfectly, with Art Philosophy on my Cricut. I stamped the large one in Lagoon ink and the smaller one in Cocoa.

I also cut flourishes, in 2 different sizes, with Art Philosophy. I cut each flourish in half to fit the design I wanted. I added a sparkle from our Blue/Green assortment.

Stamp Easy!

I'm still on my no layer stamping CRAZE! These cards got the Whoops A Daisy treatment...or at least that is what I think the stamp set was called!

The little flower was from the Pemberely Workshop on the Go kit. I used my CTMH Markers to add colour to the flower centres. The top card is with Lagoon ink and the bottom, with Tulip.

Florentine and butterflies

Okay, I'm finally back to blogging again. I'm really sorry, I just don't know where I disappear to...must have been that sewing show Jen dragged me to.......yah right!

This card is so simple I may not even need to describe it! I stuck a piece of this GORGEOUS Florentine paper to my card base. Cut two scallop circle shapes with Art Philosophy on my Cricut. I inked our Butterfly bloom in Twilight ink, then stamped the sentiment with it too! I added some Stardust Glitz to the butterfly's body. Viola...done!

FABULOUS Florentine!

I really am having fun with the new papers from CTMH's Spring Idea Book. This patterned paper is Florentine and is just stunning.

I paired the Florentine paper with a new stamp set, Family Love. The image was stamped in Twilight ink on an Art Philosophy cut shape. I cut a 1" circle from Colonial White and a 1 1/4" circle from Twilight for my highlight at the top. The image was stamped in Cocoa ink and sparkles from Close To My Heart's blue/green assortment were added.

I finished the card off with some twill ribbon and sponged all of the edges with Cocoa ink.

Simple Cards

I have seen lots of cards using the new, Card Word Puzzle stamp set. I had to jump on this wagon and here is the start of what I came up with.

I bundled this pair up to sell at the Caffe I do the books for. They were so simple to make, with no layering, I thought a 2 for 1 deal would be just right.

I used Tulip; Sorbet; Smoothie and Creme Brulee ink for the top card and Smoothie for the bottom. The sentiments are stamped in Cocoa ink. The top is featured on a shape cut with Art Philosophy. I added Stardust Glitz to both.

The Best Things

I have so many new favourite stamp sets in Close To My Heart's Spring Idea Book, it is hard to choose what to work with at any given time!

I've been itching to ink up these flourishes from, The Best Things. I started with Sorbet cardstock and stamped the flourishes in Cocoa ink. I added a strip of patterned paper from Elemental and then inked up some of our new Colour-Ready Seam Binding Ribbon with Cocoa and Sorbet ink. Then I tied up some White Hemp to finish that part off.

I stamped the sentiment, from the set, in Cocoa ink on Colonial White cardstock. It is matted with Desert Sand cardstock. The shape is very close to what is available on Art Philosophy, but was in my stash from Storybook.

To finish the card off, I added some Stardust Glitz to the flourish stamped image.

Art Philosophy garland.

Okay, I'm sorry I've been missing from my blog...but I'm back now! I have been on the Pinterest craze of late and along with Etsy, found inspiration to make some garland to decorate my class space for February.

I used Roxie papers along with Colonial White; Tulip and Hollyhock cardstock for these hearts. They were cut at all different sizes with Art Philosophy and I ran some of them through my dollar store crimper for some added fun.

I attached grosgrain ribbon at the top and away I sewed! I made about 10 of these garland and I love them so much, they will hang until I can make something for March!

Paper: Roxie
Cardstock: Colonial White; Tulip; Hollyhock
