A Little Country Life

After using the cow image from Country Life, I was compelled to stamp with this sweet lamb.

I stamped the lamb in Desert Sand ink, then added Lagoon ink to stamp background, and stamped again. I added Sunset; Sorbet and Cocoa mats, in addition to some Stella patterned paper.

I stamped the Lagoon border with an image from April's stamp of the month, You Are. The other patterned paper is also from Stella. I embellished with Colonial White Waxy Flax and Sunset brads.

Footloose and FABULOUS!

Well, that title really has nothing to do with this card....but it sounded good!

This is another one of my Spellbinders M-Bossibilities, called Sea Life. I embossed Lagoon cardstock, then inked it with coordinating ink. It seemed appropriate for this gorgeous turtle, that comes in the Footloose Workshop On The Go kit.

I inked the turtle up in Olive ink and pounced Lagoon ink on his shell. I stamped the shaped piece with an image from Diverse Backgrounds in Bamboo. I tied the border up with natural hemp and added the sweet Lagoon tag, stamped with the little fishy from the Footloose WOTG set. The sentiment is from Fringed Phrases.

Grey Wool and new embossing folders

I was pretty excited to receive some new Spellbinders M-Bossibilities, embossing folders I had preordered some time ago. I am pretty sure I embossed almost every colour of cardstock with these.
I embossed this Grey Wool cardstock, then stared at it for a few days. A few hours past my bedtime one night, I figured out what I needed to do with this embossed piece. I sanded the tops of the flowers, then sponged Cotton Candy ink on them. Then I sponged Grey Wool ink on the leaves.

I dug out some Bitty Blossoms from a few years ago and added those with some Bitty Sparkles in the middle. I finished the card off with some Cotton Candy cardstock behind the embossed piece.

Humble Artist's Swap for Apr 10, 2012

Here is the card I created for the one swap I participate in, the Humble Artist's Swap. The guidelines were as follows:

Use at least 2 NEW patterned papers from different packs, from Spring 2012 IB.
Use 3 embellishments.
Tie it up…..something must be tied up with either baker’s twine; hemp or waxy flax.
Use an AP shape.
Use at least 8 layers, not including card base.
Use at least 3 different colours of cardstock…not including neutrals. (check IB for what is included in “Neutrals”)
Card must be at least 4 ¼ x 5 ½

I used images from Country Life. I stamped the cow in Grey Wool, then sponged Vineyard Berry ink on the cow and restamped over the first image. The sentiment is stamped in Black. What you can't see clearly, is I have drawn over the postage stamp at the top left of the image and the emblem with swirls at the bottom right with Liquid Glass.

The patterned paper is from Cruisin' and Florentine. I cut the border from Vineyard Berry cardstock with Art Philosophy. I distressed some edges and sponged ink on all of the edges. I tied up the Colonial White button with Black hemp and Baker's Twine.

I stamped on Colonial White cardstock with Autumn Terracotta and Hollyhock ink. I used a Hollyhock marker to colour in the flowers and other various parts of some images. For this card, I added some Stardust Glitz for a little sparkle.

The shape is cut in Blush and the border is Autumn Terracotta textured cardstock on top of Hollyhock cardstock. I added Blush ric rac ribbon.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Here is a slightly different version of the Mother's Day card I posted a couple of days ago.

I added Dotty For You paper in Lagoon and shaped Sweet Leaf. The flowers are stamped from Unscripted in Lagoon; Creme Brulee; Cotton Candy and Sweet Leaf ink.

For this card, I cut the butterfly with Art Philosophy. I used Lucy Workshop On The Go kit stamp set, in Lagoon ink, for the butterfly. I added a Lagoon button and Baker's Twine to the sentiment stamped from Say It In Style.

I stamped flowers in second generation Cotton Candy and Creme Brulee from the Unscripted set. The sentiment was stamped in Black in from Say It In Style. I added a strip of Grey Wool cardstock and some glitter buttons.

Card Word Puzzle & Pemberley

Here are two more cards from my recent Wishes Card Club workshop.

Both used all of the same pieces, but one is horizontal and the other vertical. This workshop is so versatile and easy, once you have all of the pieces cut. I cut the shapes with Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge in Colonial White and Indian Corn Blue.

A match made in CTMH HEAVEN

For my April Hostess Card Club, I decided it was time to use a workshop pattern from one of Close To My Heart's retiring pattern books. I selected this one from Wishes.

Each Club member received the stamp set, Card Word Puzzle and coordinating paper pack, Pemberley.
I had them precut the pieces to all of the cards and I precut shapes with Art Philosophy for them. On club night they stamped all of the sentiments; images; and put together 18 cards each. These two cards are the same pattern made as a vertical and horizontal version.
