Happy Easter!

I hope you have a happy and peaceful Easter long weekend.
Here is a treat I made for my Hostess Club Gals.

I used my Tim Holtz Sizzix die to cut the rabbit from some cardboard and Chantilly patterned paper. I adhered the patterned paper, then edged it with Desert Sand ink. I added a Sparkle for the eye and a pink fluff from some retired ribbon. Then I punched two holes in the rabbit so I could thread ribbon through and around this clear container. I filled the container with candy.
(No real bunnies were hurt in the creation of this item!)

I added some Claire patterned paper along with Sunset; Blush and Cotton Candy cardstock. I stamped each of the background pieces with a sewing border from a retired set. Our new For Always paper package is bold and elegant....yet, I find it works with so many things.

This Childhood Portrait stamp set is one of my retired favourites. I stamped it in Black Pigment ink on Colonial White cardstock, then embossed it. I stamped the sentiment in Lagoon ink from Fringed Phrases. I added Lagoon cardstock and some Epoxy Bubbles to complete this card.

Flirty meets Claire

The last Workshop On The Go Kit from the Fall/Winter Idea Book my club used was Flirty. I loved the stamp set so much, I thought it would look nice with some Claire paper.

I stamped the flowers in Barn Red; Goldrush; and Cotton Candy ink on White Daisy cardstock. I added a mat of Autumn Terracotta; then Claire patterned paper; then a Ruby mat on a White Daisy base. The sentiment is stamped in Black ink from the Words of Comfort set. I added some Red Sparkles to finish the card.

Birdies are so Tweet!

While I have been using my Claire paper a lot, I thought I'd show you something different today.

I started with the leaves and small flower from the Chantilly Workshop On The Go stamp set. I stamped them on Twilight cardstock with coordinating ink. Then I stamped another one of my favourite new images in Pear, the small bulls eye looking image from Hello Blooms.

I added a small strip of patterned paper from Chantilly; Burlap Ribbon; Buttons; Blooms and Brads. I stamped the sentiment from Fringed Phrases in Twilight and the cute birdie, also from Hello Blooms, in Pear.

Chevron Craziness with Claire.

Wow, last week really got away from me. After a really busy week of classes, I decided I needed some couch time. Now I'm back to posting some creations.

I am not that fond of chevrons.....well, not until I pulled this paper from my Claire package. I LOVE this paper! I think it must be the combination of colours that has me so smitten.

I stamped the flowers with Hello Blooms in Sunset and Hollyhock. The sentiment is stamped in Outdoor Denim and the background is stamped in second generation Sunset. You will have to forgive me for not recording all of the stamp sets I used.....ooops! I tied up a Blush button with some waxy flax to finish off.

A quick, bold post

Ha, it seem the leprechauns from St. Patty's Day took over my brain for longer than the 17th! I loaded these pictures up and meant to come back later to add the words.....but forgot!

These two cards were cards because I happened to have these shapes on my workspace and I wanted to use them up.. The shapes were cut on Cricut Artiste from Sweet Leaf; Sunset; and White cardstock. I added Sunset brads and stamped in Ruby ink and DONE!

Hello Tweety gets swirly.....

In addition to my wonderful flower dies, I also purchased this swirly cutting plate, from Taylored Expressions.

I used my plate to cut swirls from Slate cardstock. I stamped this bird cage image from, Hello Tweety, in black ink. I added the bird and sentiment stamped with Lagoon ink. It is not shown so well, but I matted the bird image with our fantastic new Glitter Paper in silver.

More gorgeous Claire!

I went a wee but cutting crazy after receiving my dies from Taylored Expressions. I cut this beautiful poppy in most every orange; red; pink and every shade of those colours I could find.

For the first card, I used Sunset; Blush; and Creme Brulee cut poppies along with a strip of Hollyhock cardstock. The pattern is from Claire on a Sunset cardstock mat, with a White Daisy base.

This card has poppies die cut from Ruby; Sorbet and Creme Brulee on a Blush cardstock strip. Both sentiments are stamped in Ruby ink from, Say It In Style. This second card has everything edged with Desert Sand ink. I did not edge the flowers in the first card.

Claire meets Taylored Expressions

Well, I just received a few new dies from Taylored Expressions. This gorgeous poppy die was in a bundle with 2 other single flower dies. Here is how my creations started!

Let me just put this out there......Claire is my FAVOURITE Spring/Summer 2013 paper pack! I LOVE orange in any shade you want to give me......this paper is full of shades.

I paired this gorgeous Claire patterned paper with Hollyhock cardstock and ink. I edged everything with Desert Sand ink and stamped the sentiment from Casual Expressions. Simple, crisp and clean!

The flowers are cut from Ruby and Sunset cardstock. The leaves and sentiment mats from Twilight cardstock. We added some Stardust Glitz to the centre of our flowers and my sentiments are stamped in Ruby and Sunset ink.

We started with a White Daisy base then added Lagoon cardstock. We used both sides of the For Always gorgeousness, then added ribbons with patterned paper; Silver Shimmer Trim; and Black striped grosgrain ribbon.

The sentiment is stamped with Lagoon ink on White Daisy cardstock, then matted with Lagoon cardstock. All edges, for my card club cards, have been sponged with Desert Sand ink.

Claire and Casual Expressions

These two cards start the designs created for my Hostess Card Club. They made 2 each of 3 designs.....but as you can see, I switched up designs to create vertical and horizontal cards of the same design. My club makes 12 cards all together and for Feb each received  the Casual Expressions stamp set.

We started with a White Daisy card base for these cards. The mat layer is Sunset cardstock, then we added a pattern from Claire. The next layers are Outdoor Denim and Blush cardstock, with a pattern piece showing the reverse side of the pattern to the base.

The shapes are cut with Artiste to coordinate with stamps from Casual Expressions. I took some liberties to match some non-coordinated stamps. The sentiment shapes are cut from Hollyhock and White Daisy cardstock. We finished each card off with a pink button, tied up with White hemp, nestled on a piece of Burlap ribbon.

Glitter paper....yummmmmmmmm!

Since my last embossing and die cutting class was held on Feb 10th, this was the 3rd and final card design the gals made.

Both started with card bases of White Daisy. One had Ruby cardstock embossed, the other, Blush. The sentiment shapes were cut on Blush and White Daisy cardstock, respectively. The mat was cut with our fabulous NEW glitter paper.

The embossed sheets are inked with Ruby ink and the sentiments stamped with the same. Both sentiments are stamped from long retired sets......but two of my favourite sets.

Clair with some embossing

This is the second of three designs, my Gals who attended my embossing and die cutting class made.

This is a White Daisy base again, with patterned paper from Claire next. The border is Barn Red cardstock and the tag from Sunset cardstock. We inked up a Spellbinders M-Bossibilities folder, then embossed this tag cut with a Tim Holtz tag die. The sentiment is stamped with an image from Bee & Bumble WOTG kit stamp set. The shape is cut from Art Philosophy. We added tiny sparkles to the sentiment, also, along with White Daisy grosgrain ribbon.
