Coffee anyone?

Today I enjoyed sleeping in and my hot cup of coffee. It seemed appropriate to share this card I made to sell at Township Coffee!
I stamped with one of my favourite stamp sets, Treats of Friendship. I paper pieced with Georgie patterned paper along with Whisper; Crystal Blue and Colonial White cardstock. I did some colouring with my Shin Han Alcohol Markers and created the sentiment with our Black Journaling pen. For a bit of sparkle, I added glitter stickers from the Glacier Fundamental Assortment.

More Christmas cards.

This wreath is one of my all time favourite stamp sets. It takes a wee bit of time, but no skill to colour it to look amazing. This card is another in my recent Christmas Variety Card class.
I used Glacier cardstock and embossed it with our Diamond Embossing folder, then rubbed Glacier ink over top. I added gorgeous Fern cardstock as a mat, then cut a scalloped square with Art Philosophy to feature the stamped piece. I tucked some Red Shimmer Trim underneath and added more Glacier cardstock to help the wreath pop.

I stamped the wreath from Season's Tweetings, with Memento Black ink. I coloured the wreath in with Shin Han Alcohol Markers Sap Green; Turquoise Blue; and Cherry Pink. I added a wee bit of Stardust Glitz also, however, it is hard to see in the picture. I stamped the bird in Poppy ink then added a wee bit of colour with the same Green and Blue markers. The sentiment is from retired Merry, Merry, stamped with Fern ink.

Hello.....

I made this card in late summer, with the anticipation of Fall colours arriving. We don't see a lot of Fall colours here in Victoria, like I grew up with in Saskatoon. So, I like to create them to enjoy.
First, I stamped and embossed the sentiment. The Versamark pad was a wee bit stained, so I got a grey appearing word, rather than white. I used our NEW Watercolour paper and swiped first with water, then with burgandys; oranges; and yellows. I spritzed again with water, then waited for paper to dry. Once it was dry, I gently ran the edges in Black ink before adding both Sunset and Colonial White mats. I tucked in some Coral Shimmer Trim,  I took Pomegranate cardstock and gently ran the edges through Black ink, then mounted it on Sunset cardstock and a Colonial White base. I added Pomegranate glitter star from the Fundamentals Assortment.

All supplies are Close To My Heart.
Cardstock: Watercolour; Pomegranate; Sunset; Colonial White
Ink: Black; Versamark
Embellishments: Watercolour Paints; Coral Shimmer Trim; Pomegranate Fundamentals

Let It Snow!

Today, I cannot resist the "Let It Snow" Challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. These cards showcase the sweet snowflakes and sentiments of our Season's Greetings set.
I cut the snowflake square in Pixie cardstock with NEW Artistry cartridge. I backed it with some gorgeous Pink Glitter Paper. I randomly stamped snowflakes on the White Daisy cardstock with Pixie ink and 3 snowflake images from Season's Greetings. To save time, I put all 3 images on 1 block and covered the sheet very quickly.
When I received this stamp set, I immediately cut "Warm Christmas Wishes" away from the rest of the sentiment. This is only the second time I have cut apart an image, but my scissors took care of the job efficiently. I added some Stardust Glitz to the centre of some snowflakes.

Cyber Week and Snowflakes!

Check out Cyber Monday Sales on my online store, starting today!
Since snowflakes rarely fall in Victoria, I love to include them on my Christmas cards. Here is another card I created for my class.
The light mat is Glacier cardstock and the patterned paper is from White Pines. The sentiment is from, Merry, Merry and is stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with White Embossing powder on Poppy cardstock. I matted the piece with White Daisy cardstock that I used my Scallop Border Punch on the edge.

The green border is Fern cardstock and the snowflakes are stamped in Glacier ink from a retired stamp set. The outer border is stamped with Fern ink and is also from the same retired stamp set. I added a Glacier scalloped circle to mate each snowflake and a Turquoise gem to each snowflake center.

A penguin wins my heart!

Today I want to share this sweet penguin card. I plan on making several of these to mail out to friends and family for my 2015 Holiday card. I am also entering this card at Simon Says Blog for, Work It Wednesday.
I started this card with Glacier cardstock, then added some delicate snowflake and holly patterned paper from, White Pines. I added a strip of Poppy cardstock and covered the edges with some Red Shimmer Trim.

I stamped snowflakes from the Season's Greetings set with Glacier pigment ink on the coordinating cardstock circle. I embossed the snowflakes with clear embossing powder. I stamped both the penguin and sentiment from the same set with Versamark ink. I embossed both with Gold embossing powder. The penguin I fussy cut and added to the Glacier circle. The circle was popped up on a White Daisy scalloped circle.

Fall Sangria

I am on a two week break between craft fairs now and see how I have been neglecting my blog. Here is a card I created for a recent gathering.
The patterned paper is from gorgeous Sangria. I added some Coral Shimmer Trim along with Poppy Thick Twine. I added a strip of Eggplant cardstock and stamped an image with coordinating ink.
The leaves image is from Friend Tree. I love leaves, but wasn't really sure what I thought of this set, when we received it at convention. Once I stamped the branch, then the leaves, I was sold. For this card, I inked up the leaves with Saffron ink, then rolled them in Pomegranate. The stem is stamped with Cocoa ink, as is the sentiment.

Snowflakes in glitter

Christmas time is glitter time. While I love glitter for the entire year, I find myself using it more this time of year, as I think it makes cards more special. These cards were so easy to make with NEW Artistry.
I used some retired Sky cardstock to cut this snowflake cut from Artistry, then put some of our gorgeous Turquoise glitter paper behind it. I ran the White Daisy cardstock through my Big Shot with our Cascading Dot Embossing folder, then added some Lagoon cardstock for a mat.
I finished both cards by adding some Stardust Glitz to random "snowflakes", then stamped a sentiment in Lagoon ink, from Season's Greetings set.

Artistry deer.

I flipped through our new Artistry cartridge book with great anticipation when I first received it. There were so many images I wanted to cut. Some sang to me for Christmas cards.....this image was one of them.
Our White Pines paper was perfect for this sweet deer image. The deer looks like an original Rudolph image and was perfect for this tree patterned paper. I cut the mat with Cocoa cardstock, then traced around the cut of the deer with my Black journaling pen.

I used the reverse side of the tree patterned paper with a strip of Cranberry cardstock, for the bottom mat. I added some Gold Shimmer Trim and also cut some holly leaves from Art Philosophy, from Fern cardstock. I added some Red Sparkle gems to finish this card. The sentiment was stamped with Cranberry pigment ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder.

Dreaming of a White Christmas?

I always dream of a White Christmas and remember all of the wonderful ones I enjoyed living in Saskatchewan. Since moving to Victoria, BC 24 years ago, I think we have only seen snow twice at Christmas. Once we were snowed in for 3 days and the other time was fleeting. The great thing, is I can make snowy looking Christmas cards every year!
I started by wiping my Glacier ink pad on a White Daisy piece of cardstock. Then I rubbed some Fern ink on the bottom of that same piece. I used the fir tree image from, Always Grateful, and stamped a few trees and their second generation images with Fern ink. Then I embossed the stamped piece and my White Daisy mat with my Circle Cascade Embossing folder. The great thing about embossing them together, is the snow pattern is continuous and an outline mark was left on my mat so placement was easy.

I added Glacier and Fern cardstock for mats on the stamped piece and Fern for the larger mat. I stamped a sentiment from, Season's Greetings, on Glacier cardstock, then added some Aqua Shimmer Trim. I also randomly added Stardust Glitz to some of the "snow" embossed circle, for extra sparkle. This is a 5 x 7 card that sells well at Christmas time.

You're Dino-Mite!

Happy Hallowe'en!
I'm taking a break from my Fall and Christmas cards to show you a sweet card I made by random stamping, to create my own patterned paper.
I used Sweet Leaf; Topiary; and Pear ink to stamp these sweet dinosaurs and other images, from Darling Dinos, to cover an entire 12 x 12 sheet of White Daisy cardstock. Once done, I cut up the sheet to create cards with this great paper.

I used a Topiary mats and Chevron Ribbon on the card. I added some Enamel Green Triangle gems with Sweet Leaf and Topiary ribbon cardstock tails. Just to add some additional interest to my card, I added a piece of Chevron embossed cardstock to the top.

Penguins anyone?

With Thanksgiving turkey long since digested and salivation for Hallowe'en candy working up to a heightened pace, it is time to start creating more Christmas cards. This one is the first in a kit I am going to offer. I will post all 3 cards in a few days, with a purchase option. In the meantime, I am entering this card in Simon Says Stamp; Anything Goes; Wednesday Challenge.
I created a base with NEW rich Peacock cardstock. The pretty patterned paper is from White Pines. I took a piece of White Shimmer Trim and coloured with my B262 Shin Han Alcohol Marker. I used my Scallop Border Punch to create the bottom White Daisy layer. There is more Peacock cardstock then Glacier cardstock. I stamped with coordinating ink, using the 3 snowflakes in the Season's Greetings stamp set.

The sentiment is stamped in Peacock ink and I curved it on my block, before stamping. I also cut this sentiment away from words, "from our family to yours". I loved the image together, but felt I would get more use out of it, if it didn't always have to be from my family.

I stamped the sweet penguins on White Daisy cardstock, then cut them out with a very slight border. I popped both of them up, then used a Souffle pen to colour in their winter gear. On the smaller penguin, I added Stardust Glitz to the scarf and hat. I finished the card with some Enamel Blue Dots.

Chevron love

I am still loving using my September Hello Life stamps. I love all of the chevron patterns available, so I paired these ones up after getting some inspiration from Pinterest.
I started with a White Daisy base and added Pomegranate cardstock. I stamped these chevron hearts with all new inks: Eggplant; Poppy; Saffron; and Pomegranate. I folded them in half, then stuck them down with glue dots so they could keep their dimension. I used our Chevron embossing folder on some White Daisy cardstock, then stamped the sentiment with Black ink. Viola! Great card in minutes.

Wonderful Watercolour Challenge

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. We had lovely weather here....still warm enough for me to go out in flip flops and shorts!
I am posting this a day late for Monday's "Wonderful Watercolor" Challenge over at Simon Says Monday Challenge Blog.
I love this octopus cut on our new Artistry Cricut cartridge, so I cut it from our NEW Watercolour paper. I created an ombre effect on the octopus, then a water background for him to float in. With Black ink I stamped the "I could just squish  you" sentiment from set, Love Ya Silly. The Happy Birthday came from Sept Hello Life sets. I added some bubbles with Pacifica ink and Clear Sparkles for eyes.
