Bright and Cheery

Today I want to share a quick card I created from some random stamping. I was making stacked flowers with this Cricut flower cut, from Art Philosophy and was inspired by the coordinating stamp set.
I stamped with Cranberry; Canary; and Cotton Candy inks on White Daisy cardstock. I added a Cranberry mat along with some Cotton Candy cardstock and a zip strip from Brushed. I stamped the flowers with a retired script image and the sentiment from, Happy To Be Friends. I added Gold Sequins and the card was finished.

All supplies are Close To My Heart.

Background Bonanza

I am still trying to catch up on life, since getting home from Convention and the additional 2 weeks we were away. Yesterday I reorganized the 3 bins full of stuff we took and purchases along the way!

Here are two more cards I created using my new favourite, Botanical Backgrounds. I simply stamped them in Black ink on Canary and Pixie cardstock, with a Black mat.
For the top one I added some Pink Glitter Paper and stamped with, Happy To Be Friends in Pixie; Canary and Sweet Leaf ink. I also added some retired Stardust Glitz to the flower centres.
For the second version, I added Brown/Gold Glitter paper and stamped with, Lovely Birthday. The flowers were stamped with Pixie and Canary.

All supplies are Close To My Heart.

Summer flowers

While I was looking for stamps to use with my inks in a watercolour way, I found this lovely flower stamp and decided to create with it.
I used Thistle ink on Thistle cardstock and random stamped several images. I also stamped with second generation ink on the sentiment piece. The sentiment is from current set, Lovely Birthday and I stamped it with Lagoon ink.

I used MFT Stamps and Simon Says Stamp stitched dies on both the sentiment piece and Lagoon border. I added Thistle Diagonal Ribbon and some Stardust Glitz to finish this card.

All supplies are Close To My Heart, unless noted.
Stamp: Lovely Birthday; retired flower
Ink: Lagoon; Thistle
Cardstock: White Daisy; Thistle; Lagoon
Embellishments: Thistle Diagonal Striped Ribbon; Stardust Glitz
Other: My Favorite Things Stitched die & Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval dies

Cute kittens anyone?

I am still travelling. I had an amazing time at Close To My Heart's annual convention in Disneyland. We left there on Monday and will finish our 3rd day of travel today in Portland. We will be there for a few days, then will head home to recover from our vacation!

I added some card pictures before I left and thought I would show you some cute kittens today.
This stamp set is from My Favorite Things and is just so sweet. The set has coordinating dies, which always makes like easier. I coloured everything with my Shin Han Markers, then added a few shapes. The stitched circle is a die from Simon Says Stamp and the sentiment pieces are from CTMH's Art Philosophy. The Lagoon border is another stitched die from My Favorite Things.

I added some Epoxy squares and Thistle Diagonal Striped Ribbon. The patterned paper is from retired Lucy (I think), and the cardstock is Thistle; White Daisy; and Lagoon.

All supplies are Close To My Heart, unless noted.

#CTMHCONV2015

Well, I must apologize for not keeping up with my blog this week. We left the beautiful Yachats, Oregon on Sunday, July 5th for a 2 day drive to Disneyland. On Monday, we saw large orange signs showing construction ahead, then sat on the highway at almost a complete stop for 1.5 hours before we saw any construction!

Once we arrived in Disneyland, we unpacked, then went out to get our week's supplies to stock our hotel fridge with. We were off to bed early so we could have an early start to our family day in the park on Tuesday. Wednesday saw my first day at Close To My Heart's annual convention, for Leadership Day.

We are not heading into the 4th and final day of convention tomorrow, Saturday. A new Mission Statement was launched today with a very touching video. I thought this would be a good place to post it, as we promised we could get 50,000 views of this video before the end of convention tomorrow. So, please watch it several times and I'll be back to post some artwork in the next day or two.

Butterflies and Watercolour

We woke up the last two days in Yachats, Oregon. It was beautiful, however, we could not see the beach due to a really thick fog. So, rather than actually walk a few steps to the beach in front of our hotel, we drove south to do some shopping. I thought today, I would post picture of a card since I don't have any pictures of the beach yet!
I started with some watercolour paper and stamped with, Your Own Kind of Wonderful, than embossed. I added Lagoon, Glacier; and Smoothie ink. Once the watercolour had dried, I stamped over top in Desert Sand ink with a retired background stamp.

I used my Shin Han Marker to colour in the 2 yellow butterflies. I used a stitched oval die for the sentiment piece that I stamped with Black ink, then matted it with Glacier cardstock. I added Turquoise Shimmer Trim; Glacier Thick Twine and Oceanside Sequins.

I matted the watercolour piece with Lagoon and White Daisy cardstock, then added Smoothie cardstock to this 5 x 7 card.
