You're Dino-Mite!

Happy Hallowe'en!
I'm taking a break from my Fall and Christmas cards to show you a sweet card I made by random stamping, to create my own patterned paper.
I used Sweet Leaf; Topiary; and Pear ink to stamp these sweet dinosaurs and other images, from Darling Dinos, to cover an entire 12 x 12 sheet of White Daisy cardstock. Once done, I cut up the sheet to create cards with this great paper.

I used a Topiary mats and Chevron Ribbon on the card. I added some Enamel Green Triangle gems with Sweet Leaf and Topiary ribbon cardstock tails. Just to add some additional interest to my card, I added a piece of Chevron embossed cardstock to the top.

All supplies are Close To My Heart.

Penguins anyone?

With Thanksgiving turkey long since digested and salivation for Hallowe'en candy working up to a heightened pace, it is time to start creating more Christmas cards. This one is the first in a kit I am going to offer. I will post all 3 cards in a few days, with a purchase option. In the meantime, I am entering this card in Simon Says Stamp; Anything Goes; Wednesday Challenge.
I created a base with NEW rich Peacock cardstock. The pretty patterned paper is from White Pines. I took a piece of White Shimmer Trim and coloured with my B262 Shin Han Alcohol Marker. I used my Scallop Border Punch to create the bottom White Daisy layer. There is more Peacock cardstock then Glacier cardstock. I stamped with coordinating ink, using the 3 snowflakes in the Season's Greetings stamp set.

The sentiment is stamped in Peacock ink and I curved it on my block, before stamping. I also cut this sentiment away from words, "from our family to yours". I loved the image together, but felt I would get more use out of it, if it didn't always have to be from my family.

I stamped the sweet penguins on White Daisy cardstock, then cut them out with a very slight border. I popped both of them up, then used a Souffle pen to colour in their winter gear. On the smaller penguin, I added Stardust Glitz to the scarf and hat. I finished the card with some Enamel Blue Dots.

All supplies are Close To My Heart, unless noted.

Chevron love

I am still loving using my September Hello Life stamps. I love all of the chevron patterns available, so I paired these ones up after getting some inspiration from Pinterest.
I started with a White Daisy base and added Pomegranate cardstock. I stamped these chevron hearts with all new inks: Eggplant; Poppy; Saffron; and Pomegranate. I folded them in half, then stuck them down with glue dots so they could keep their dimension. I used our Chevron embossing folder on some White Daisy cardstock, then stamped the sentiment with Black ink. Viola! Great card in minutes.

A Manly Birthday card

My husband recently celebrated his birthday and this is the card I made for him.
I started with Whisper cardstock, then added this gorgeous patterned paper from Urban. I stamped with coordinating ink, on Peacock cardstock, with an image from Jumping Geometrics. I added a cut from Artistry, then a tag cut from Art Philosophy. I stamped with another Jumping Geometrics image in second generation Peacock ink. Then I stamped the sentiment over top, from our Sept Hello Life promotional stamps, with Peacock ink. I added some retired Baker's Twine and Grey Enamel Gems. I also added some Silver Foil Tape to complete this card.

Wonderful Watercolour Challenge

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. We had lovely weather here....still warm enough for me to go out in flip flops and shorts!
I am posting this a day late for Monday's "Wonderful Watercolor" Challenge over at Simon Says Monday Challenge Blog.
I love this octopus cut on our new Artistry Cricut cartridge, so I cut it from our NEW Watercolour paper. I created an ombre effect on the octopus, then a water background for him to float in. With Black ink I stamped the "I could just squish  you" sentiment from set, Love Ya Silly. The Happy Birthday came from Sept Hello Life sets. I added some bubbles with Pacifica ink and Clear Sparkles for eyes.

Let the Christmas card art commence!

I have had a busy week. Along with many things going on, one day was spent with my daughter, our dog and I all working as extras for a local movie shoot. My daughter had what was called a 'recognizable' part , whereas Chewie and I were part of the background. For the 10 hours I was there, about 7 hours were spent sitting and chatting with other extras. The other 3, were spent going up and down stairs! Needless to say, I did not need to go to the gym and I am still feeling the pain! My daughter started 2 hours before me and was probably on set at least 2 - 3 hours longer. It was a fun day and we are hoping to be extras in another movie shooting around town, next week.

So, along with that, I started to make Christmas cards early, so I could have a good supply to start selling sooner. I was making baby cards with Baby Zoo and thought this sweet bear would be great on a Christmas card, too.
I started with a Colonial White card base, then added Cranberry cardstock and patterned paper from White Pines. I stamped a retired image in second generation Cranberry on the sentiment piece, first. Then I used, A Typeface and a retired alphabet to stamp the sentiment in Black ink. I stamped the bear in Saddle ink and cut him out and popped him up on this piece. I tied it all up with Poppy Thick Twine. I also may have gone back, after this picture was taken, and added some gems to the bear's eyes.

Artistry with Glitter paper

I have been bragging about not having a cold for the past 3 years, since I have been drinking 1 tbsp of  apple cider vinegar each day. Well, I may have missed the worst parts of colds, but today I have quite a pressure headache, that I will call my version of a 2015 cold. This card reflects how I feel on World Cardmaking Day, so I'll enter it over at Simon  Says Stamp!

I cut the words from my NEW Artistry Cricut cartridge, then mounted them on retired Jackson patterned paper. It is not really visible, but I used my Black journaling pen and outlined inside each letter. I cut this sweet whip cream shape, that is also poo-like, from our lovely Brown Glitter paper. I added another patterned paper underneath, then some googly eyes to the poo!

Paper: retired Jackson; Brown Glitter paper
